Youth Sacramental Programs:

The Sacraments of Christian Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist are the foundation of our entire Christian life. They are essential for full incorporation into the mystery of Christ and the Church. Our programs for these sacraments are designed to be a progressive journey into the mystery of Christ and the Catholic Church.

Baptism: If your child is between the ages of 8 and 18 and NOT already baptized, they need to be enrolled in BOTH their Youth Education program for their grade AND in the sacrament preparation program for baptism. There is no cost for sacraments. WHAT DO I DO? REGISTER FOR CLASSES and REGISTER FOR THE SEPARATE SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM. Please contact Rob Kubasko, our sacraments coordinator, with any questions at ocia@resurrectionaz.org.

First Reconciliation (Confession): This is part of the 2nd grade class in Religious Education above. Before receiving their First Holy Communion, children are prepared for the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation). This preparation helps them understand God's mercy and forgiveness, and how to examine their conscience and confess their sins. It's an important step in their spiritual growth, allowing them to experience God's healing love. WHAT DO I DO? REGISTER FOR CLASSES.

Confirmation and First Holy Communion (Eucharist): This is part of the normal 3rd grade class in Religious Education above. Confirmation strengthens the baptized, enriching them with a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit and obliging them to spread and defend the faith as true witnesses of Christ. The Eucharist is the summit of Christian initiation, where the baptized are fully incorporated into the Body of Christ and nourished with the food of eternal life. Our First Holy Communion program prepares children not only in the truths of faith regarding the Eucharist but also in how to actively participate in the Mass as fully integrated members of Christ's Body. WHAT DO I DO? If your 3rd grader has already been baptized Catholic, then just REGISTER FOR CLASSES. If your child or teen is missing sacraments, REGISTER FOR CLASSES and REGISTER FOR THE SEPARATE SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM. Please contact Rob Kubasko, our sacraments coordinator, with any questions at ocia@resurrectionaz.org.
